Tawi-Tawi road project included in P197-million infra package due for implementation in ARMM
Cotabato City (June 24, 2015) – Governor Mujiv Hataman of the Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) and Public Works and Highways (DPWH) Secretary Don Mustapha Loong led on Wednesday the signing of documents for more than P197-million worth of road projects at the Office of the Regional Governor.
The projects include the concreting of the 17-kilometer Maraning-Marang-Marang Road in Languyan, Tawi-Tawi, which will form part of the province’s circumferential road. It will connect the towns of Languyan and Bongao, the province’s capital.
Sec. Loong said the Tawi-Tawi project is expected to roll out next month. For this year, ARMM-DPWH has a budget of P10 billion allocated for the construction of 500 kilometers of roads, 45 sea ports, and 91 water supply systems for the whole region. (Bureau of Public Information)
